The Brookside Community Warrenton VA

The Brookside community is located in central Fauquier County, Virginia, just 10 miles west of Old Town Warrenton. It is a Lake community of 230 single family homes located on 1000 acres of wooded rolling hills. Brookside is only 45 minutes from Downtown D.C., just 45 minutes from the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah Valley, and is about an hour's drive to the University of Virginia. Amenities of the community are basketball and tennis courts, miles of paved walking trails, soccer fields, playgrounds, fishing dock, swimming pools, a fitness center and two clubhouses.The Spring Valley Park and Trail system provides an easy way to walk or bike to anywhere within the community. 

Brookside Lake Recreation

Brookside also is blessed with four pristine spring-fed lakes within the community as well as the 80-acre Lake Brittle just around the corner. These lakes provide an opportunity to live surrounded by natural amenities alive with wildlife and opportunities for memories, recreation and pure enjoyment of the outdoors.

Brookside Education

Although in a rural setting, Brookside residents enjoy convenient access to public and private schools, academies, and a community college.

Brookside Commuting

The Town of Warrenton has a wonderful "Old Town" area, with 6 houses of worship, the county court house, post office, library, restaurants plus great shopping at locally owned antique shops, galleries, gift shops, and boutiques. Outside of the historic area, the Warrenton area has the larger establishments of Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Wegmans, Panera Bread, grocery stores, many big name restaurants including the fast food chains, auto parts stores, and of course four tractor sales and service shops (we are in an agricultural area!).

Brookside History

Many residents of Brookside are relatively new (historically speaking) to Fauquier County but appreciate the exciting history of the area and are conscious that we live in a part of the State of Virginia that has a rich and varied past. George Washington surveyed much of the area many years ago, and the town of Warrenton still celebrates "Lafayette Day" commemorating the areas part in the revolutionary war.
